Down in Murfreesboro, about forty minutes south of Nashville, the Tennessee Fall Homecoming Rodeo runs every October. It's a traditional event that draws competitors from across the region and attracts folks who understand what rodeo is really about. You'll see saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping. The grounds feel authentic, nothing sterile about it. Bring your western wear that's actually broken in, because you'll be standing around with real people who live this life. The rodeo runs over a weekend, so you've got time to take it in proper.
