What to Wear to a Nashville Bachelorette Party

Planning a Nashville bachelorette weekend? Here is what to pack for Broadway, brunch and the walk home, from a shop five minutes from the honky tonks.

Nashville sees more bachelorette parties than just about anywhere in the country. Walk down Lower Broadway on a Saturday and you will count a dozen before you hit the first stoplight. Most of them look exactly the same. Here is how your crew can look like they meant it.

Start With Boots You Can Dance In

You are going to be on your feet from the pedal tavern at noon to the last song at one in the morning. Boots matter more than anything else you pack. Wear them before the trip, at least a few times around the house, so the first time they hit a hardwood dance floor is not the first time they hit your feet. Our guide to breaking in cowboy boots will save you some blisters.

Matching Without Looking Like a Tour Group

Matching outfits are half the fun of a bachelorette. The trick is matching the theme, not the exact shirt. Put the whole crew in Nashville tees and let everybody pick their own design. The bride can go with the Music City Neon Tee, a neon cowgirl kicked back on the sign out front, and the rest of the party can mix in the Broadway Tee, the Broke Musician Tee and the Gambler Tee.

Every one of those is a boxy relaxed fit, so they look right tied at the waist, knotted at the hip or tucked into a denim skirt. They all photograph well from the back, which is the side everybody sees when you are walking single file down Broadway.

Brunch, Daylight and Pool Day

Day two usually starts slow. Sunglasses, a cap and something cold. Our caps are embroidered in Nashville and adjustable, so you can pass them around the group without worrying about sizes. The Rattler Hat has Check Your Boots stitched in red, which is good advice the morning after. The Stillhouse Hat is a black mesh trucker with a moonshine still on the front, for the friend who brought the flask.

The Night Out

Broadway at night is loud, hot inside and cold outside. Dress for the bar, then bring a layer for the walk. A heavy hoodie tied around your waist does the job and still looks right when it goes on at one in the morning. The Broke Musician Hoodie and the Broadway Hoodie are 320 GSM fleece. Check out our honky tonk guide for the rest.

Get the Bride a Real Hat

A cowboy hat for the bride is the one thing everybody remembers. Skip the bachelorette veil hat from the party store and get her a real one she will wear long after the wedding.

Come see us at the Hat Bar in Marathon Village. Pick a cowboy hat off the wall, get it branded and the brim shaped while you wait, and walk out wearing it.

Make a Stop in Marathon Village

Marathon Village is about five minutes from Broadway, full of old brick and good shops, and it makes a good first stop before the night gets going. Steel & Saddle is right inside. Shopping ahead of time instead? Everything we design ships from Nashville within 2 business days. Order early so everybody has their shirt before the flight.
